Encino, CA — (May 30, 2018) Elite Sports Group Inc. (ESG) announced today that the Ohio-based J. Alexander Sports & Entertainment Management is merging into the California sports agency. With the union, Johann Alexander, the founder and president of J. Alexander Sports, is joining ESG as Director of East Coast Operations, and his clients will now be represented under the Elite Sports Group banner.
In his new role, Alexander will continue to serve as the primary representative for players he previously worked with at J. Alexander Sports and will also take on key responsibilities in spearheading the recruiting side of the business for ESG.
The newly formed relationship combines ESG’s more than 40 years of experience as an industry leader with Alexander’s impressive drive and proven ability in both the amateur draft and representing players during their professional career.

His addition is a great fit for ESG, according to ESG president Steve Schneider.

Throughout its history, ESG’s staff has represented more than 50 current and former Major Leaguers, including 10 All-Stars, two league MVPs and three Cy Young Award winners. In addition, ESG personnel have negotiated player contracts totaling more than $300 million and have prepared more than 35 arbitration cases. The agency has also acted as the advisors for players at all levels of the draft, including the first round, and has negotiated contracts into the seven figures for athletes in the international free agent market.
J. Alexander Sports & Entertainment Management was founded in 2013 and has represented more than 60 players during that period.
